Spring REnewal T-shirtAs part of our annual spring renewal campaign, our council developed a t-shirt giveaway as a kick-off incentive. It was my job to create the design for the t-shirt and build the web, print and social assets for the launch and the campaign.
I wanted to create a design that had a level of universal appeal to our members -- girls and our adult volunteers. I chose a geometric design to complement the patch designed by Girl Scouts of the USA which each of our members who renewed during this period also received (see the lower image). Instead of mountains, I decided to play off of our council name and use pine trees reflecting on a lake. After a few iterations based on feedback from the department responsible for this campaign, I put together the final design you see in the upper graphic. All members who renewed their membership on April 1 would receive this t-shirt as an incentive. By the end of the day, we had nearly 1,000 members renewed. That is an unprecedented one eighth of our total membership renewed in a single day. |
